1 Day Nairobi City Tour - Nairobi City, Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center and the Bomas of Kenya Tour

While on the 1 Day Nairobi city Tour you will visit the parliament buildings, Kenyatta Conference Center, The Archieve which hold documents with rich Kenyan History. You will also tour the David Sheldrck Wildlife Trust to interact with orphaned elephants and the rhinos.

Lunch will be had at the Carnivore Restaurant before you are driven to the Karen Blixen Museum on the slopes of the Ngong Hills. The Karen Blixen Museum provides it's visitors with historical life of Karen Blixen whose memories were immortalized in the Award winning movie "Out of Africa". From the Muiseum you will be driven to the Giraffe center where you can come face to face, admire and hand feed the endangered Rothschild Giraffes. We then pass through Bomas of Kenya where you visit a cultural center depicting life in Kenya's traditional "Bomas" or Houses. The highlight of the visit is to see African dancing. We have the opportunity to explore the center and buy some traditional Kenyan crafts. You will be reurned to your hotel in the evening.

 

Half Day Nairobi City Tour

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel for a tour of the City, Shopping areas, Parliament Buildings, National Museum and Snake Park. A guided city tour includes a visit to the famous Nairobi National Museum, the adjacent snake park, and Uhuru Park where one gets a splendid view of the city of Nairobi. You will return to yor hotel in the afternoon.

Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Centre

Pick up from your city hotel drive to Karen for a tour of the Karen Blixen Museum - originally the home of Karen Blixen of the Out of Africa fame then visit the Giraffe Centre, an educational centre and part of African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. The center has a small herd of Rothschild's Giraffe which are endangered specie and you will get a chance to hand-feed them. 

1 Day Nairobi National Park

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning drive to Nairobi National Park going straight for a game drive until lunch time where you will have your lunch at the carnival restaurant. The Nairobi National Park is only 7km from Nairobi City centre. The small park (113sq. km) contains all the major animal species with the exception of the Elephant. The sight of wildlife grazing majestically against the backdrop of the city skyline is a pleasant experience.

After lunch visit the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, founded in 1963 to provide a home for injured and orphanage, founded young animals, Here the animals are nursed to good health and then released back to the wild. Later in the evening drive back to your respective hotel for dinner and overnight.

 

 

Mombasa City Tour

The tour presents some of the best highlights of this colorful old city. Your tour will visit the bustling fruit and vegetable market, which has been in operation since colonial days. As you wander the streets of the Old Arab Town, you will see the intricate hand carved doors, and balconies The bustling fruit and vegetable Mackinon market, which has been in operation since colonial dayshanging over the narrow streets, unchanged for hundreds of years. Protecting the harbor stands Fort Jesus which was built by the Portuguese over 400 years ago to protect their interest in East Africa against Omani Arabs. See how it went from a fort to a prison, to a tourist attraction. Walk under the famous elephant tusks on Moi Avenue, which you probably have seen in those old African adventure movies. Finally we visit the Akamba wood carvers center. Here you can purchase a fine hand carved African memento. A short excursion full of culture, history and not to be missed.  For the photographer, sights and opportunities for great photos abound.

Mombasa by Night & Dinner in the Castle

The enjoyment and romance begins when you are picked up from your hotel at 5:30pm. The exciting itinerary begins with atmospheric Dhow Sundowner Cruise which offers an outstanding view of the Old Port from the water. After docking our guide will lead you on walk through the historic Old Town to the 400 year old fortress of Fort Jesus. Built by the Portuguese as a stronghold at the entrance to the harbour, the ancient fort is a stunning example of 16th century military architecture that has survived centuries of attack and conquest. Here you will be welcomed by Portuguese and Arab fire-bearers before witnessing a dazzling sound and light show that is followed by a sumptuous dinner served alfresco within the ramparts of the Fort for a truly unforgettable dining experience. After this memorable experience of lifetime you will be taken back to your hotel.  

Wasini Island (Dolphin Dhow)

Welcome to a day ultimate pleasure in the richest marine park in the Kenya Coast. In the early morning depart (at 6.00 am) for the tranquil fishing village of Shimoni close to the Tanzanian border. The scenic route takes you to through lush coconut and cashew nuts plantation and colourful villages of the Digo people.

scuba_divingAt Shimoni, jetty boards at authentic motorized Lamu Dhow, which cruise and sail you through and enriching seascapes of islands to the underwater splendor of the Kisite Marine Park. Here snorkellers will marvel at the incredible variety of marine life in the shallow and warm waters around Kisite Island, for the numerous birds.

Divers will explore a number of excellent dive sites, also teeming with a astounding variety of Marine life which inhabitants the magnificent coral reefs in and around the park.

Who We Are

Elimun Wild Tours is a community based foundation located in Kenya down the coastal region in Shariani - Kilifi County whose main purpose is to raise funds for the day to day running of the Mlinzi International Academy. 

The Academy was launched in 2013 and as we update there are 150 children getting direct support from Elimun Tours. 

The funds we raise from Elimun Wild Tours goes direct to fund the upkeep, health and education of the Mlinzi International Academy children.  

Elimu Coast Academy

Elimu Coast Academy is a community based organization geared towards empowering the underprivileged children in providing quality education and health services to the villagers of Shariani at large.

Objectives

  • To improve access to education and other basic needs for vulnerable children.
  • To assist in establishing schools of the needy children in Shariani
  • To pay schools fees for the bright and vulnerable children in Shariani
  • To organize feeding program for the needy children in Shariani
  • To cooperate with other organizations, within and beyond the country that have similar aims and objectives.
